Kingdom Harvest: Embracing Divine Generosity

The ‘real you’ is not just a phrase; it’s a profound truth. The ‘real you’ is not merely a creation of your mind and flesh but a divine creation in the image of God. The real you is Spirit! The ‘real you’ is generous, and the ‘real you’ believes in obeying God.

Peter Robertson eloquently stated, “Money is connected to our hearts.” When you give and obey God’s principles, you automatically feel joy because joy is always present when you align yourself with God!

The Joy of Generosity

The Bible clearly outlines the importance of our relationship with money. 1 Timothy 6:10 says, “For the love of money is the root of all evil,” highlighting that the love of money, not money itself, leads to evil. When you walk in the Spirit, you naturally become generous. From this generosity springs joy.

Luke 16:10-13 emphasises faithfulness: “Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.” God promotes faithfulness. If you can’t be faithful in the little, how can He trust you with more?

Sowing and Reaping

The principle of sowing and reaping is fundamental in the kingdom of God. If you trust someone for a bike, sow into that person’s bike. Do you want a holiday? Sow into someone’s holiday. Do you want a house? Sow into God’s house. God said, “If you build my house, I will build your house,” which includes your family.

“Giving is a spiritual law that God has given us to operate in and walk in an economy unaffected by the world’s brokenness. We are redeemed from the curse, but we operate in spiritual laws to flow in our kingdom inheritance and overcome the brokenness of the world’s system.”

Kingdom Economy

As believers, we should not be moved by the world’s problems but by the kingdom’s laws. Genesis 8:22 states, “As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, Summer and Winter, day and night will never cease.” People often ask God to bless their endeavours when they can instead pursue what God wants for them, which is already blessed. Regular giving is vital because it works; it’s a spiritual law. Without seed, there is no harvest or increase in your life.

Faith, Patience, and Consistency

Ecclesiastes 11:1-2 teaches that seedtime and harvest involve casting your bread (seed) upon the waters (good soil), and in due season, a harvest will return. The key is exercising faith, patience, and consistency. Diligence and steadfastness in giving bring about the promises of God.

Peter shared a testimony where they were buying a caravan for $20,000, and after a hailstorm and dealing with insurance companies, they ended up purchasing it for $2,500. That’s the supernatural hand of God. Another testimony involved buying an investment property against professional advice during the pandemic. By seeking the Lord and having peace, the property’s value increased by 30%, and the rental income increased by 60%. This is because they were led by the Spirit and cast their seeds on the waters, which returned in due season.

Worship Through Giving

What a joy it is to be in abundance and meet your needs and those of others around you as the Lord leads. It starts with your tithe in the local storehouse. People often criticise your harvest but don’t see the seed. The revelation of what Jesus has done will cause you to worship, and giving is part of our worship. Peter said, “When we partake of Communion, we proclaim our Lord’s death; when we tithe, we proclaim His life.” This is declaring His Lordship over us and not only Him as Saviour.

Your money represents your life, time, and talents. When we give, we worship Jesus, who receives our seed in the order of Melchizedek. This is an act of worship, not law. We don’t tithe to get blessed; we tithe because we are blessed. This is an opportunity to show the Lord how we appreciate our salvation and display a commitment to partnership with His plans and purposes on the earth to see His Kingdom advance.

Philippians 4:18-19 was a letter Paul wrote to his partners, indicating that God meets our needs because of a covenant partnership with His Kingdom.

The Power of Cheerful Giving

2 Corinthians 9:6-14 states that God loves cheerful givers, providing seed to sowers and bread for eating. The measure you sow is the measure you reap. Giving increases the fruits of your righteousness.

What the world needs is not another sermon but a living testimony! We worship when we see His heart, act, and speak, following who He is and what He has promised. My encouragement is that you will learn to hear the voice of God, align your flesh to the Spirit, and agree with God’s Word and promises, which are yes and amen.

May you be blessed and increase in all areas of your life.
