We need to “seize” the moment and live life to the full, no matter what is happening around us.
The Bible tells us not to remember the former things.
“Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. – Isaiah 43:18-19 NKJV
Reminding yourself of your testimonies are a good thing. However, this is not what the scripture was referring to. This was a Word or instruction to God’s people that they were to forget their former struggles, obstacles, and afflictions because God had a destiny for them. God was going to make a way in the wilderness for them to come into His promise for them. – The promised land.
The Lord would be saying the same thing to you today. This is a New Year, this is a New Day, don’t remember or hold onto the afflictions, challenges or struggles from 2021 or prior. Don’t camp in yesterday’s disappointments and wounds. God is going to make a way through your wilderness into your promise land if you will believe.
Stop focusing on your past life, past mistakes, your insecurities, COVID-19, and the fear of tomorrow. Let go of anger, bitterness, complaining, murmuring, offences and any strife that invades your life or church!
God is saying to us today, press toward your destiny and all the promises He has for you.
“Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 3:12-14 NKJV
We need to be reaching forward into everything God has for us. We can’t reach forward when we are held back by things in our yesterday. We need to move with force towards destinies, assignments as well as the hope of the soon to return Messiah – our Saviour.
We need to continue to advance the Kingdom, sharing the Gospel (the Good News). God is calling us into His best for 2022! He is calling us to experience more supernatural, blessings, greater exploits, breakthroughs, signs, wanders, miracles, and an awakening in our hearts leading to revival.
Why? All because His hand is upon us!
My encouragement to you is like a runner in a race; stay in your lane, focus on the finish line, maintain your pace, and press toward the finish line.
I leave you with this scripture.
But we’re not quitters who lose out. Oh, no! We’ll stay with it and survive, trusting all the way. – Hebrews 10:39 MSG
You are not a quitter. Don’t QUIT! You have the greater one living inside of you therefore you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you for the race you have before you. STAY with it! Don’t give up on God, don’t give up on the dreams He has placed inside of you. Trust Him until He returns!
We declare that 2022 will be a year of God’s Goodness and that you will see the open Hand of God in all areas of your life in ways you’ve never experienced before.
