Celebrating a year of God’s Faithfulness: FLBC Church Birthday Celebration

In a world where change is constant, and uncertainty dominates, there’s something profoundly reassuring about the steadfastness of faith and the enduring Spirit of a congregation. The F.L.B.C Church Birthday Celebration is not just a milestone; it’s a testament to the goodness of God and the unwavering dedication of a community bound by Love, Faith and Hope.

Grateful Beginnings:

Over twenty years ago, our church community embarked on a journey, not knowing where it would lead. Little did we know that over the course of two decades, we would witness remarkable transformations. We transitioned a year ago and now being a one-year-old church with humble beginnings with a clear purpose.

It all began to transform in September 2022 when our new name was revealed as Faith Legacy Believers Church, and this moment marked a significant shift in our journey. 

Our mandate became clear: 

Honouring our heritage, embracing our history, and pressing forward into His (God’s) Story. This is not about a denomination, a name on a building, or a leader; it’s about a devoted and willing congregation fulfilling God’s purpose for this appointed time in history.

A Year of Growth and Collaboration:

Over the past year, our congregation has seen remarkable growth and collaboration. As families share what they love about the birthday, Ps Megs and I want to express our love for FLBC. We are inspired by your commitment, faithfulness, and unwavering pursuit of God’s grace and presence.

In December 2022, we came together as a church to celebrate Christmas. Our creative, media, and worship teams collaborated to create an anointed Christmas production. Through this, we reminded ourselves and our community that Jesus is the reason for the season, and His light continues to shine through our church.

“Go ye into the world” – Our Missions:

One of the hallmarks of FLBC is our commitment to missions. In Christmas 2022, FLBC made a significant impact in India by providing sewing machines and water wells to break the bonds of poverty. We also partnered with Give Kids Hope to support in a variety of ways, which included school uniforms, playgrounds, and support for various educational and medical needs. Our dedication to Destiny Rescue has helped rescue countless children from sexual exploitation and human trafficking in Nepal, Africa, the Philippines, and the Dominican Republic. We’ve also supported local initiatives, including Rosies on the Gold Coast, Operation Exodus, and Bridges for Peace in Israel, providing housing, furniture, clothes, food, and employment to those in need.

“Go ye into the world” – Our Evangelism and Discipleship:

Our commitment to spreading the gospel is unwavering. Through initiatives like Cooly Rocks, we’ve witnessed salvations, healings, water baptisms, and the baptism of the Spirit. We’ve prayed over anxiety and offered a glimmer of hope to those who needed it most.

Our Connect Groups, including Men’s Connect, Ladies Connect, General Connect, and Team Connect Nights, have provided a strong sense of community. We gather in prayer meetings and are excited to announce that new discipleship recordings are underway.

“Equipping the Saints” – 1st Annual Kingdom Legacy Summit:

We’ve also acquired knowledge and understanding through events like the 1st Annual Kingdom Legacy Summit. These gatherings have empowered us to walk in our assignments within the marketplace and understand the prophetic in our lives.

“Encounters”:

Open Heaven Nights and Worship Nights have created moments of spiritual encounter, reminding us of the presence of God in our lives.

What’s Next in 2024:

We look forward with hope and excitement as we celebrate our birthday. We envision sowing even more into missions, reaching the lost, and inviting more people to join our weekly services. Testimonies and healings will continue to be part of our story as we make God’s presence known.

FLBC, as we blow out the candles on our birthday cake, let us remember that there are people out there who desperately need a touch from God, who need to hear the Word preached, and who need the support of a loving community. Let us continue to partner with God to leave a Godly legacy, for we are a people rooted in faith, steadfast in grace, and committed to His purpose.
